The faculty and staff of Walters Junior High School welcomes you to the 2011-2012 school year.  The staff at Walters strives to provide all our students with a challenging, safe, supportive learning atmosphere where they can grow and pursue their educational goals.  The academic success of all students is our priority.  Parents also play a vital role in a student's academic and social success.

  • DUE TO BUDGET CUTS THE SCHOOL YEAR HAS BEEN SHORTENED BY ONE DAY. 
    JUNE 12 IS A REGULAR DAY.  THAT WILL  BE THE DAY OF THE 8TH GRADE PICNIC
     AND THE PROMOTION.   THE PROMOTION WILL BE  THAT EVENING OF  AT  6:00 PM, AT WALTERS, ON THE BLACKTOP. 
    JUNE 13TH THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL BE RELEASED AT 12:19

    THE OTHER EARLY RELEASE DAY HAS NOW BEEN MOVED TO MAY 25TH THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY.   STUDENTS WILL GET OUT AT 12:19 THAT DAY.  THESE CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE CALENDAR.

  • Walters Jr. High has been chosen as a test school, along with Kennedy High School and Brookvale elementary for an exciting new district program called iEnroll.  You will now be able to register your student online.  See the district website for more details and for a link to iEnroll.  Please be aware that you will still have to prove residency and provide certain forms in person to our school Registrar.  Forms  are under the INFORMATION TAB/ SCHOOL REGISTRATION of this website

    Parents who have previously registered for iParent can continue to use their login.
    Parents who have not previously registered for iParent will need new key codes
    to register, which can be obtained by contacting their school registrar or attendance clerk.

  • Last Day of School
    Wednesday, June 13, 2012
    The last day for students to attend school in the current year will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. When the calendar was developed a year ago, we planned to end school a day later, but the date has changed to June 13, 2012. The school year is being reduced by one day due to mid-year State budget reductions.
