I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to return to Mission for my third
year. As the senior class administrator, I am looking forward to seeing my
seniors achieve the successes they have worked so hard towards. They are a very
special group of young people that deserve nothing but the best. I am very
lucky to have spent this time with them. I implore them to continue to work
hard academically and to fulfill their 40-hour community service graduation
requirement as soon as possible. I don’t want any surprises come June.
As I get ready to say goodbye to one group of students, I am
happy to say hello to the new group of Freshmen entering
high school. This year I will again be in charge of 9th
graders with last names M-Z. I pride myself on building
proactive relationships with my students. It is my goal to
serve both students and parents as a liaison to the MSJHS
campus and become an advocate for students as they make
their way through this crazy maze of high school.
Though student discipline plays a large part in my daily duties, it is
important that students value me as a resource that can help them. I got into
education to help serve students and their needs and building trusting
relationships with my students is extremely important to me. If there is
anything that I can do for you, please don't hesitate to contact me. I look
forward to another year at Mission.

Personal Bio: I was born and raised
in Arcadia, California (30 miles East of Los Angeles) before
attending college at San Diego State University, where I
received my undergraduate degree in Speech Communication.
Soon after my time in San Diego was through, I moved to
Reno, Nevada where I received my teaching credential at the
University of Nevada, Reno. I spent eight years teaching at
Horner Junior High School (Fremont) where I taught mainly
eighth grade G.A.T.E. United States History, as well as
English, Core, and Publications/Yearbook. The eight I spent
in the classroom will always be remembered. The
relationships I formed with my students will always be
cherished and that is where my educational heart will always
remain.
I received my Administrative Credential and my Master's Degree in Educational
Leadership from St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA. This is my third year as the
Assistant Principal at Mission.
I have been married for seven years to my wife, Carrie, and we have two little
boys, Jackson (4) and Harrison (1).
