Martin Kobylecky started teaching mathematics at
MSJHS in the fall of 1999. He has previously taught mathematics and physics
for programs at both the high school and university levels. His M.S. in
Applied Mathematics is from C.S.U. Hayward. His areas of special interest
include physics, optimization theory, and mathematical economics. He has
undergraduate degrees from both U.C. Santa Barbara and C.S.U. Hayward.
Mr. Kobylecky enjoys nature, traveling and
reading. He has spent almost four years living in Europe. He has traveled
in Europe, Russia, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Asia. One of his
favorite adventures was taking a train from Budapest, Hungary (where he was
a U.C. exchange student) to Moscow. From Moscow, he took a train on the
Trans-Siberian Railroad to Beijing. After traveling in China for a month,
he returned to the U.S. from Hong Kong.
For 2007-2008, Mr. Kobylecky is teaching Algebra
2/Trig (periods 5, 6) and Precalculus (periods 2, 3, 4). Mr Kobylecky's
classes meet in room B-10.
