WELCOME TO MRS. ASHCRAFT’S CLASS!

 

 

A.        SUPPLIES:  Paper, pens or pencil, book, workbook (cuaderno) and notebook.

 

B.        RULES:

 

1.         Bring books, workbook, paper, pens, pencils, and notebook to class and be seated in assigned seat when the bell rings.

 

2.         Respect people, equipment and furnishings of the room.

 

A.   No teasing or profanity.

B.    Keep hands, feet and other objects to yourself.

C.    Quiet when teacher or someone else is talking.

D.   Raise hand and wait for permission to speak.

E.    Stay in seat.

F.    The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell.

G.   No writing on desks, walls, posters or furniture.

 

3.         Follow directions the first time they are given.

 

4.         No personal grooming during class.

 

5.         Observe all rules in the student handbook.

 

C.        TARDIES:

 

1.      First time warning

2.      Detention after third tardy.

 

D.        PROCEDURES

 

1.         Begin class:  Students enter room and check supplies, sharpen pencil.  Begin assignment.  Assignments are posted on the board.  Spanish 1 – left side of board.  Spanish 2 & 3 – right side of board.

         3.      Instruction:     Have paper ready for notes and examples.

                                          Focus on the lesson.

                                          Listen carefully to and follow directions.

                                          Make an honest effort to understand.

                                          Ask sensible questions at an appropriate time.

        

 

         4.      Study Time:    Work quietly.

                                          Concentrate on your work.

                                          Raise your hand for questions.

                                          If you finish early, occupy yourself quietly or work on another assignment or read.

 

 

5.     Sharpen pencil:  Before bell rings or when the teacher is not talking.

 

6.     Bathroom:  To be used for emergency only.  Three bathroom passes per quarter.

 

 

E.  GRADING: 

 

     Based on a weighted percentage system.  The total grade is 100% possible.  Each assignment is recorded in the grade book.

     All make-up work for excused absences is the responsibility of the student.  Be sure to check the class record and make up any work that was missed.
