Description:  Building on the language proficiency developed in Spanish I, Spanish 2 encourages students to develop fluency in the language by focusing on the message being communicated.  Students have ample opportunities to interact in Spanish among themselves and with their instructors and to recall and retell stories they have heard.  Each unit of study contains three different Hispanic stories or legends, two fotonovelas, and three country specific readings.  Reading and writing skills are developed systematically throughout the text.
