Competing in the first
wrestling tournament of his career, Ricky McFerrin opened up the
2004-2005 season with an outstanding performance, wrestling his way to
a 5-0 record in dual competition and advancing to the Newark
Rotary Ironman finals. Congratulations, Ricky!
The
Wrestler of the Week for the week of 12/13/04 is:
Norell Paredes 125 lbs.
At the Hollister Duals at San
Benito High School, Norell outscored his opponents 109-0, including 6
technical falls and 1 fall, and was named to the All-Tournament
Team. Congratulations, Norell!
The
Wrestler of the Week for the week of 01/10/05 is:
Eddie Kang 103 lbs.
Eddie captured his first
tournament championship of the season with a 12-2 major decision over
Josh Ho of Hayward High in the finals of the San Ramon Valley
Invitational last weekend. Eddie also recorded two falls in the
first period on his way to a 4-0 record last weekend. Congratulations,
