On
Wednesday, October 25th the Mission San Jose
Cross Country team raced against a very strong
Washington team at Niles Community Park.
The
Junior Varsity girls improved their overall record to
4-1 with a 20-43 win. The Frosh-Soph boys also won,
outscoring Washington 24-37. Junior Varsity Boys led by
David Pereira ran a tough race and squeaked out a
victory of 27-28. Both Varsity teams loss and currently
have 2-3 records for the season. The Varsity Girls were
led by Chelsea Kitta, Katherine Eve and Allyson Blenis
and had a final score of 16-39. On the boys side,
Trevor Addison finished first in a time of 16:08,
followed by strong performances from Christian Kang and
Amrit Dhar for a team score of 21-38.
Coach
Marden recognized the performances of Allyson Blenis,
David Pereira, Anna Liu, Trevor Addison, Brian Tsui and
Kevin Chen by making them all the athletes of the meet.
