The final regular league race of the cross country season was held on Mission’s
home course on November 1st. Forty six of the eighty three warriors
achieved personal best times of the season on this course.
The Girls Varsity
won 17-43 and was led by Chelsea Kitta, Katherine Eve and Julie Hughes. Trevor
Addison won his sixth race of the season in 15:56 in the 30-27 loss to Newark.
Nelson Yu finished third in 16:40. Brian Tsui won the Frosh-Soph race in 12:02
followed closely by Alex Krishnan, Elias Lee and Kevin Hoang for a 19-44
victory. Anna Liu won the Junior Varsity girls race in 14:04 with Irene Tang,
Manali Sheth, Sonia Sajja and Anna Kim helping to shut out Newark 15-50. Ricky
McFerrin, David Pereira and Vincent Leong all had strong performances in the
23-33 Boys Junior Varsity win.
Athletes of the meet were Kevin Chen, Teddy
Fong, Christian Kang, Vincent Leong, Anna Liu, Irene Tang, Moriah Kreeger, Brian
Tsui, Alex Krishnan and Bryan Ching.
