Mission
San
Jose
Cross
Country
teams
ran in
Division
II
of
the
North
Coast
Section
meet
on Saturday
afternoon,
11/18,
on a
sunny day at
the Hayward
High
School
course.
The
Mission
boys
ended
up
in
13th
place
overall
with
339
points,
and
an
average
time
of
18:06.
The
Mission
girls
finished
in
10th
place
overall
with
222
points
and
an
average
time
of
21:37.
Coach Marden
stated
that
both
teams met
his
overall
expectations
for
their
races.
Trevor
Addison
was
the
top
finisher
for
the
Warriors
in the
boy's race
in
31st
place
out
of
111
runners.
Teddy
Fong
and Christian
Kang
both
ran
strong
races
to
finish
in
74th
and
75th
place,
respectively.
David
Pereira
also
ran
a
strong
race
to
finish
in
89th
place
at
NCS
after
running
in
the
Junior
Varsity
race
in
the
MVAL
meet.
The
Mission
senior
boys (Trevor
Addison,
Nelson
Yu,
Christian
Kang,
and
Amrit
Dhar)
will
be
missed
greatly
next
year.
The
top
finisher
for
the
Warrior
girls
was
Chelsea
Kitta
in
31st
place
out
of
96
runners.
Also
running
strong
races
were Katherine
Eve
(40th),
Ashley
Holtze
(54th),
Linda
Xu
(56th),
and
Julie
Hughes
(58th).
The
Warrior
team
will
greatly
miss
two
varsity
seniors, Julie
Hughes
and
Ashley
Holtz, who
are
completing
their
senior
year.
