Mission San Jose won three of five races against Irvington High School at Coyote Hills Park on October 3, 2007.  MSJ runners won the Boys Frosh/Soph, Girls JV, and Boys Varsity Races.  Irvington runners won the Boys JV and Girls Varsity races.  This was the first race of the season for Mission runners at Coyote Hills Park, and the third race there for Irvington.  Scores were:
  • Boys Frosh/Soph: MSJ-21; Irvington-39
  • Girls JV: MSJ-26; Irvington-31
  • Boys Varsity: MSJ-27; Irvington-28

  • Girls Varsity: Irvington-15; MSJ 40

The Mission Boys Varsity won a very tight race by only one point against a very good team from Irvington.  The Mission Girls Varsity lost their first dual meet of the season against an Irvington team that can be regarded as a favorite to win the League Meet.  Coyote Hills will be the site of the League Meet on November 8, so this served as excellent practice.  Coach Marden listed notable performances by the following MSJ athletes:
