Mission Cross Country Runs Well at De La Salle Invite
Runners from Mission San Jose ran
well in seven races at the De La Salle Invite in Concord at Newhall Park. The
weather was cool and sunny. Most of the best teams from Northern California
competed in the event including Jesuit of Sacramento and Carondelet of Concord.
A number of Mission runners trained through this race hoping for future success.
Coach Jack Marden indicated that the
Warrior team performed better than he had originally expected. Coach Marden
stated that Teddy Fong ran well in the Frosh/Soph/JV Unlimited race by placing
19th out of 326 runners. Coach Marden stated that Ashley Holtze ran
well with a time of 15:39 to lead the Warriors in the JV Girls Race. He also
indicated that Sonia Sajja ran hard in the Varsity Girls race with her time of
24:09.
