IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT YOUR CHILD'S REPORT CARD!!
Report cards were mailed home showing the GPA incorrectly. The PE grade was not calculated into the total GPA. You have the option of picking up the corrected copy during Parent/Teacher Conferences in the library.
Conference dates are Tuesday, November 18th and Wednesday, November 19th. Both days are from 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Please note 5-5:30 ALL teachers will break for dinner. These days are also MINIMUM DAYS. Students are released at 12:59. Please make sure your child is picked up on time unless they take the bus.

Teachers will have a lot of parents/guardians to see. Conference time is held to approx. 5 min. If you feel you have more to talk about please make a future appointment with a specific teacher so you can have more time.

Attention Parents of all incoming 7th Grade Students: For the 2014/2015 school year, California Law (AB 354) requires an additional immunization called Tdap in order for your student to advance into or enter 7th grade. The adolescent whooping cough/pertussis booster shot, (Tdap) must be given on or after age 7 to meet this requirement. Valid proof must show: 1) type of shot given, 2) date, 3) provider’s signature/stamp. If parents have not provided proof to their school by the first day of school, August 27, 2014, your student will NOT be allowed to attend.

Horner's phone number: 510-656-4000. When you call the school you will be prompted with the following choices.
You can put in the 5 digit extension if you know it. The ext. for calling in an absence is: 48901
Press 7 for the school directory and the prompts are: #1 for attendance (absences), #2 for the counselor, #3 for the registrar, and #0 for the office.
Press 8 for the dial by name option.
Press 0 to get the office.
Please note that all students are aware of the "no classroom interruption" policy. We remind students in our daily bulletin periodically throughout the year to check in the office if they have forgotten their lunch, homework, etc. All visitors dropping off items are required to come to the office. Any bag lunches not claimed will be disposed of at the end of the day and lunch boxes will remain in the office for two days and if not claimed will be placed in the lost and found on the third day.
