Why did we move to an on-line newsletter?

The cost of reproducing and mailing the monthly newsletter is as follows:

Mailing costs average $400.00+ each month.

Reproduction costs:

  • Approximately 13 cases of paper @ $18.44/case = $239.20

  • Printing costs: 64,000 pages @ $.02/page = $1280.00

  • Copy Center Clerk Time: 9 hours @ $17.00+ = $153.00

The total cost to mail the newsletter every month is $2072.20

(This does not include the time Mr. Kew's secretary puts in to type and get the newsletter print ready.)

Multiply this amount by 9 issues and the entire cost is $18,649.80. The Parent Group, Mission Possible, pays for the mailing costs, approximately $3,600.00. The remaining cost of $15,049.80 comes out of the school’s budget. Mission simply cannot afford to continue absorbing this cost on a yearly basis.
