Irvington High School has 4 regulated dances each year. These dances are open to all studetns at Irvington High School.

 

Hello Dance - The hello dance always starts each school year. No Guests are allowed at this dance. If you have an ASB sticker, admission is free, if not, $5 without.

 

Homecoming Dance - At this dance we announce the Homecoming King. This dance is Semi-Formal-meaning jeans and tennis shoes are not allowed. Prices will be announced when tickets go on sale. Tickets will be sold in the Viking Vendor; no tickets will be sold at the door.

 

Winter Ball - This dance celebrates the end of the First Sememster. This dance is Semi-Formal-jeans and tennis shoes are not to be worn. Prices will be announced when tickets go on sale. Buy your tickets in the Viking Vendor, no tickets are sold at the door.

 

MORP - Or also more commonly known as our Sadie-Hawkin's Dance. Our MORP (or PROM spelled backwards) dance is a dance where the ladies will ask the men to this awesome evening underneath BLACK LIGHTS! Many couples will choose to wear matching T-shirts, out-fits, etc. White shirts are strongly encouraged so you can glow underneath the black lights.  Prices will be announced when tickets go on sale. Buy your tickets in the Viking Vendor, no tickets are sold at the door.

 

There are also two formal Dances. Junior Prom and Senior Ball. These dances are only for our Juniors and Seniors respectively. These are the only two dances that are held off-campus. Details will be announced near March.

Dress Code: All school dress codes apply to dances: which includes no hats, and skirts must be longer then your finger tips when your hands are at your side.

 

Dance Conduct: Any acts unbecoming of a Viking, include, but are not limited to freak dancing will result in removal from the dance. If you are removed from a dance you may not attend the next dance.
