Online Catalog for Kennedy High School Library and all other FUSD libraries. You will need to select Kennedy from the list of schools. You can search by subject, title, author, and more. Check to see if that title you've been wanting to read is at our library!
 
Search Engines: Don't use Google or Yahoo! for school work. These have much better results!

Internet Public Library (IPL) Excellent search tool for school research. Their mission is to provide library services to Internet users. Activities include: finding, evaluating, selecting, organizing, describing, and creating information resources; and direct assistance to individuals.

Sweet Search has websites that have already been evaluated by teachers and librarians. They also have a good biography database.

Homework Help from Alameda County Library has links to various tutorial and information sites. Check out Live Tutoring with Brainfuse (you need to link through Alameda County Library's page as it requires a library card for access). Brainfuse has live tutors to help you with various subjects, including Spanish. You can also submit a homework question and receive an answer within 24 hours if you do not want to talk live. Brainfuse also has online tutorials for various subjects, including foreign languages. Working with a group? Try out Brainfuse's collaborative features, including group meeting space and online whiteboards. If you create an account with Brainfuse (it's free), you will be able to access recordings of your tutoring sessions and group meetings. Brainfuse offers features that many colleges will expect you to use for group collaborations so this is a good opportunity to become familiar with this type of Web 2.0 tool now.
 
Homework Help from Multnomah County Library has Internet links categorized by topic or field of interest such as European History, Animals, Mathematics, and Costumes and Clothing. For fun, take a look at the Mysterious and Unexplained section for lots of cool stuff (Atlantis, Roswell, Dreams, etc...). If you are studying something, they probably have a link to information on it.
