Extra Credit

Extra Credit - Want to change a test score that is below 80%?  Your student can earn 10% toward a specific test score by doing a report related to the subject.

Examples:  Science - do a report on a famous scientist, go to Chabot Observatory and write a essay on a special exhibit or something cool the student didn't know before.  Math:  Think about a mathematician the student could write a report on, (where zero came from, ancient math numbers, etc.).  Language arts:  Write a narrative or expository essay on a subject the student is interested in.  US History, write a report on a famous exporer. The ideas for writing for extra credit is huge!

How will evaluate the extra credit:
  • the project was done accurately, neatly, and is based on important information
  • the student learned something in the process and
  • the student showed effort to elevate their score
All extra credit must be typed, double spaced, 14 font, black ink, student's name and number, and extra credit for (science, language arts, math, US History, and writing).

All extra credit must be received before the end of each Trimester.
