Dear Parents and Guardians,
 

Sometimes, acts of kindness and service are not given recognition because of the inappropriateness of words.  I will, however, try to express my gratitude for the exceptionally wonderful job that parent volunteers do at Gomes.  Your talents and expertise at leadership, organization, creativity, attention to detail and ability to get others involved, combined to make our school great.  Your efforts are highly praised by my colleagues and outside community members. I appreciate the high quality work that you provide while keeping the focus on the students at Gomes.
 
I remember a proverb which states:  “Kindness is something you cannot give away, since it always comes back.” I hope that the students of Gomes School can return such a gift of kindness as graciously as you all gave to them. A school community that hopes to achieve excellence is only possible with the cooperation and dedication of parents, students, and educators.  Thank you again for your contributions.

These changes address the requirement for the child passenger restraint system in motor vehicles in California. This change now requires that “….a driver shall not transport on a highway in a motor vehicle, as defined in paragraph (1) of subdivision (3) of section 27315, a child or ward who is under eight years of age, meeting applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards.without properly securing that child in a rear seat in an appropriate child passenger restraint system
