Attention 8^thGrade Students & Parents: 

Registrationfor incoming 9^thgrade students will begin on Friday, February 24^th. The counselors will make presentations to 8^thgrade students and drop-off the registration forms to be completed and returned to the 8^thgrade math teacher. On Monday, March 5^th, the counselors will return to pick-up the completed registration forms. During the registration process, students and parents are encouraged to attend the American High School Spring Open House to ask questions about registration and learn about the academic programs offered. 

Spring Open HouseforAmericanHigh Schoolwill take place on Thursday, March 1^stfrom 6pm – 8pm. We will kick-off the evening with an incoming 9^thgrade orientation at 6pm in the gym. The orientation will include information on graduation and college entrance requirements as well asAmericanHigh Schoolactivities, athletics, academic programs, and registration. Then, you’ll be invited to the rotunda to meet the staff, look at department displays, participate in activities, and listen to presentations on the various academic programs offered atAmericanHigh School.  

We are pleased to inform you that our 2009-2010 School Accountability Report Card (SARC) is now available. You may view it at the Fremont Unified School District web site http://www.fremont.k12.ca.us, under “Parents & Students/School Accountability Report Cards,” or by visiting our school office.  To answer any questions regarding the SARC, there are designated personnel available at our school site.

     

Attention parents/guardians of 6^th, 7^th, 8^th, 9^th, 10^th, 11^th, and 12^th grade students:

There is a new California law requiring students to get a booster shot of pertussis (whooping cough).  Pertussis is a disease that causes a very bad cough that often lasts for months.

For the 2011-2012 school year, every student entering grades 7 through 12 must provide proof of a Tdap booster shot. 

The Tdap shot must be given on or after age 7 to meet this requirement.
