Parents:
Due to neighborhood complaints about traffic along Chapel Way, we asked the FUSD Facilities department and Fremont Police Department to suggest changes to improve traffic flow. On Monday, 2/6/12, Horner will be changing the configuration of our school drop off. The following changes will be enforced:
• We ask you to no longer use the front parking lot on Chapel Way for drop off. Instead, use the horseshoe parking lot on Irvington Avenue (by the big gym).
• The only vehicles using the Chapel Way entrance should be yellow buses, staff members, and students with disabilities.
• Only turn right leaving any parking lot exit. Eliminating left turns should eliminate waiting times.
Once this change is made, it should improve traffic congestion along the street we share with Hirsch Elementary. Thank you for your assistance.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Please note the date change for Horner's OPEN HOUSE. This event is now scheduled on March 21, 2012 from 6:00PM -7:30PM.
This date is a MINIMUM DAY ~ 8:15AM-12:59PM. Also scheduled on March 21st is the 6th grade orientation located in the MUR from 6:00PM-7:00PM. This is very important to attend if you have an incoming 7th grader. More details will be given to 6th grade students when we visit the elementary sites re: 7th grade registration.
Important information re: forgotten lunches at home. We do not interrupt classrooms to inform students about lunches brought to the office. Please let your child know that he/she should check in the office to see if you have brought them lunch. Any lunches unclaimed will be thrown out after the lunch period.
i-Parent information
i-Parent is a web and browser based application designed specifically to provide parental access to student information within SchoolMAX. i-Parent allows parents or guardians to apply for and receive a key code from their child's school.
Once you have a user name and password, you may immediately access available attendance, grading, scheduling, graduation requirements, and discipline information on all students in their family with a single login and password. Parents may also enter an email address to receive immediate notification if a student is marked absent. Attendance, scheduling, graduation requirements and discipline are already in the system, so there is no extra input required. Note: In order for parents to view individual class assignments, teachers must be using i-Gradebook within i-Cue. I-Parent cannot be integrated with any other electronic grade book software.
