Welcome to Fourth Grade in Room 5!
This year is a transitional time between primary and intermediate and one of the most exciting and interesting grade levels elementary has to offer. I am very excited for all the progress to be made this school year and very much look forward to all the learning that is yet to come!
This is my eleventh year of teaching and my tenth year at Warwick Elementary. I am a former Fremont Unified School District student and attended school in F.U.S.D. from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Upon my graduation I received a full athletic scholarship for swimming to San Jose State University. I earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Child Development and went on to working as a substitute teacher in several different school districts in order to confirm my choice of making teaching my profession. Eventually, I decided that working with young minds and playing a role in their ability of becoming well-rounded, successful individuals of the world, was exactly what I was meant to do with my life. From there I attended California State University, San Marcos and went on to earn my teaching credential. Shortly after graduating I began the Master's Program at CSUSM when I received a phone call from F.U.S.D. in need of a teacher. That is how I chose to leave north county San Diego and move back to my home town of Fremont, California.
Since working in Fremont I have taught first, third, fourth, and fifth grade as well as Physical Education. To be quite honest, fourth grade is my all-time favorite grade level due to the amount of growth that takes place as well as all of the interesting topics we cover in all of the subject areas.
