           Dear Parents,

                 Students are hard at work in writing.  We are beginning the 4th unit in reading.  In grammar, the focus is on pronouns for the next 5 weeks.  We have just finished a persuasive essay on - Did Martin Luther King, Jr.'s dream come true?  Is there equality today?  The Editor-in-Chief's of the 4 classes are putting the final touches on their book of elves that will be published.  Students will be able to check out these books from our school library.  We are still working on cursive penmanship.
