Hello Parents,

    I trust you will find the Climate Survey from the School Site Council in your student's backpack. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey as the Site Council members analyze the data and make recommendations on how to improve the school. 
    I encourage you to take advantage of seeing a bridge being built by taking your children to Treasure Island, which is the exit on Yerba Buena Island on the Bay Bridge, to see the construction of the suspension span of the New Bay Bridge.  My husband and I visited Treasure Island over winter break and enjoyed the view of the new Bay Bridge.  The cable that will be holding up the suspension part of the bridge was being laid, and we could see through the new bridge to the old bridge.  I was amazed at the distinct styles of the two bridges right next to each other.  Be sure to enjoy the great view of San Francisco while on Treasure Island. 
    Please come to the PTA meeting on Tuesday, January 24, 7:00 pm, to honor several volunteers who have contributed to the excellence of Parkmont School and PTA.  It is a pleasure to hear about our honorees and to enjoy the music from some of our students at our Founder's Day event.
