ASB - Leadership FAQs

How do I get a new ID Card?

All the students are issued an ID card with their picture on it during the first month of school. DON’T LOSE IT! You will need it for many things, such as dances, sporting events, drama productions, and even discount movie tickets! To save even more money, buy an ASB sticker. The sticker will get you many discounts at MSJ functions, such as dances and sporting events. If you lose your ID card, come to the activities Office to obtain a new one for $5.

Want to run for Office?

Elections take place in the spring, and are taken care of by the head of Community Elections of Leadership II. ASB Officers govern all 2,400 students, while class officers govern their respective students. If you want to run or know more about this, contact the Activities Director in the Activities Office.

Need a Locker?

Lockers are assigned by ASB during Orientation. You must provide your own lock. If you did not get a locker, you must go to the activities office and apply for one. Some lockers leak, so be careful if you have a locker out in the open, where rain can enter and damage your textbooks. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen property. You may not deface your locker in any way or else you will be reported to the authority. If you have any questions regarding lockers, talk to the ASB Vice President.

Need to get Service Hours?

Pick up a Service packet from the Activities Office. Then, check the bulletin board outside of C-4 for Service opportunities. Be sure to check with a teacher beforehand, to ensure it links back to one of the class taught at MSJ.

Want to put an Announcement in the Morning Bulletin?

Pick up a form in the Copy Center and fill out the days you want your announcement to be read. Note: only recognized organizations and clubs under the supervision of a faculty member can place announcements in the bulletin.

Have more Questions?

The activities office is located in the c-wing, near the cafeteria. Please feel free to go up to the window to ask for help. The Activities Office has most of the forms you will need: Service Learning, Club Applications, Club Quarterly Reports, etc. It is open during lunch and after school, except on Fridays. The phone number is (510) 657-3600 ext. 37099.
